A 100% privately held Romanian company, Romsoft is one of the most important dsitributor of IT products in Romania.
Romsoft's product range covers all possible components and peripherals, as we are a complete solution supplier (one-stop shop).
The market covered by Romsoft is, in fact, the entire territory of the country, Romsoft being a Distributor by definition.
Our company is certified according to the ISO 9001: 2000 standard, by Germanischer Lloyd Romania, a member of Germanischer Lloyd Germany.
Romsoft has 850 employees, central offices that occupy ~633 square meters, central warehouses of ~3100 square meters and also commercial spaces in stores of 5000 square meters.

Because of constant growth of the retail market, we decided, in the fall of 2001, to aproach also this segment by opening our own retail shops:
Depozitul De Calculatoare - Our shops, called The Computer Warehouse (in Romanian: Depozitul de Calculatoare or simply DC) are already very popular in Romania because of the attractive prices ("warehouse-like prices"), wide range of products, as well as because of the possibility to buy in monthly installments, of up to 36 months.

Before the Romanian Revolution in 1989, Romsoft was a section of The Romanian Informatics Research Institute (ICI = Institutul de Cercetari in Informatica) and was called "The National Library of Software Programs".
In 1990 The National Library of Software Programs separated from ICI and became a legal person called The National Center for Distribution of Software Programs (C.N.D.P.I.), registered in 1991 as ROMSOFT.
In 1992 Romsoft became Romsoft Incorporated, the Romanian State still owning the majority stake. From 1999 the capital of Romsoft is 100% private
The company gradually focused on hardware distribution. Software products represent today only a small portion of the company's business. To reflect this change, we added to our logo, in 2001, the phrase 'the hardware company'
Today, Romsoft is one of the most important distributors of IT products in Romania, with national coverage through a vast network of resellers

We ensure shipping of orders everywhere in the country, through two methods: free of charge shipping or paid shipping. Free of charge shipping was introduced in 2002 and it is done on 4 routes with our trucks, every week. Paid shipping is done through Fan Curier and Announced Delivery (delivery in 48+ hrs).
The Technical support offered by Romsoft is prompt and done professionally. It was appreciated by IT magazines that made reader polls on this subject. Our engineers took training courses on site at our Vendors' headquarters in Asia and Western Europe, which enables our company to ensure high-standard technical support.
